We all know that Peas, Beans, Lentils, Rice and much more comes from Müller’s Mühle.....
1893 - The birth year of a great idea. Adolf Müller founded a trading agency for rice and pulses.
1898 - We decide and control the quality! Müller’s Mühle opens its first husking mill. A new Technique has been developed not only for this branch and era, but more so for the Miller. For that time this was a newly developed special technique. This method was used for husking and milling of various raw materials but used especially on pulses. A typical product would be de-hulled peas where only the skin was taken off.
1913 - Mobility is a key deciding factor for the location of the factory, at a harbour where it still stands today in Gelsenkirchen – Schalke. Of course, there were definite advantages to this decision. The motorways were not so advanced in those days, therefore having the factory directly situated on one of the canals was an inexpensive means of transporting large volumes of raw material by water to the factory, for processing. After processing, they were once again transported, via the canals to their various agent’s warehouses.
